Mood

the mood of the book makes me feel sad, because Mark, Bryon, M&M and Cathy were at a place called a Ribbon where people can hang out and M&M had got out of the car where people were smoking, he said don't bother picking me up. While Bryon, and Cathy couldn't get him because people were honking at them, so they had to go back around, they ended up not finding him. A couple of weeks later Mark found him at a Hippi house and told Bryon I'll show you where he is, M&M wasn't their,  the next time they went to the Hippe House Bryon and Cathy went and they saw M&M. The book described M&M as thin, serious, scared, and he didn't look like himself. M&M had took a drug that would mess up his mind, Bryon and Cathy took M&M to the hospital. The way they described how they felt, when Cathy was crying that her brother M&M might not ever be the same again, mentally.

Summary Part One

I'm reading a book called "That Was Then, This Is Now" in part one what has happened is their is Bryon, Mark and M&M. There is a new character her name is Cathy she is M&M's older sister she is about fifteen or sixteen and Bryon meets her at the hospital cafeteria where he had went to see his mom. Their is also Charlie the bartender and Mark and Bryon are friends with, and their's Mike, Mike is in the hospital and Bryon gets back from the cafeteria to find Mark in the room, his mom told him to visit. Mike then tells him the story of what happened to him. Mike was in the hospital because he feel in love with all girls he thought all girls were unique, Mike and his gang were at a drugstore just hanging out when the gang saw a black girl that didn't look like from that part of town they start picking on her but Mike breaks it up and says leave her alone. The gang then just leaves her alone and Mike talks to her and says, "you need a ride?" The girl is hesitant but she says yes in the ride she stiff and was hanging on to the handle of the door, as Mike talks to her she eases and she starts to feel a little comfortable. Mike then Dropped her off in front of her house she was crying, their was people just hanging around her house they then went to the car and pulled out Mike and said, "did he hurt?" She said "kill him" Mike said, "and they almost did"

summary

In the book "That Was Then, This Is Now" so far what has happened is Bryon is pretty good friends with a bartender but Bryon knows he means business too, Bryon hasn't paid the bill for the 30 cents of coke he has been getting and Mark too. Mark tells the bartender I'll give you three dollars tomorrow if you give me a coke right now. Then later on Mark and Bryon's friend M&M gets jumped and they save him from getting jumped, when Mark was beating one of the guys up he stole three dollars from him and afterwards they went back to return the money to the bartender. Later that evening they went to go see their mom at the hospital because she was getting operation done on her, their mom then had asked if Bryon and Mark can go visit a boy across the hall, because no one visits the boy, but Bryon didn't want to go Bryon then, went to the food court downstairs and saw M&M's sister Cathy he didn't recognize her at first but he asked her if they can hang out sometime to talk. Afterwards Bryon went to find Mark in the room that their mom had told them to visit. In the room their was a boy that had bandages all over his head and he looked really bad Mark then went to the drugstore to get the kid that some comic books Bryon then asked what happened to you? The boy said it's long story, Bryon said I got time.
